Nuestro Primer Murmullo Verde: Arte, Conservación y Conexión en Ciales, Puerto Rico
El mes pasado tuvimos el honor de participar en Murmullo Verde, un evento único celebrado en el corazón del bosque de Ciales, Puerto Rico. Esta experiencia marcó una nueva etapa para Artfull Forest dentro de una comunidad creciente de artistas y guardianes del entorno natural, unidos por el deseo de crear y conservar.
Organizado con profundo respeto por la tierra y el arte, Murmullo Verde reunió a cuatro artistas que exploramos distintas disciplinas creativas vinculadas con la naturaleza: Aimee Siberón – grabado (printmaking) Gladys Serrano – textiles botánicos, Elizabeth Edgerton – pinturas con pigmentos minerales, Jorge Torres – cianotipo
Cada uno ofrecimos una ventana distinta hacia el paisaje que nos rodeaba, resaltando su belleza, fragilidad y vitalidad.
Una de las particularidades más memorables del evento fueron los recorridos guiados por el bosque, donde las y los visitantes descubrían obras integradas al entorno natural. Estas piezas no solo dialogaban con el paisaje, sino que parecían surgir de él, como susurros creativos que invitaban a la contemplación, la pausa y la conexión.
Durante la jornada inaugural también compartimos procesos creativos en vivo, conversaciones abiertas sobre arte y sostenibilidad, y una atmósfera íntima donde el bosque no fue solo un escenario, sino un colaborador activo en cada propuesta artística.
Tras una cálida apertura, Murmullo Verde se extendió durante todo un mes, con programación activa cada fin de semana. Durante esos cuatro fines de semana se ofrecieron recorridos guiados por el bosque y charlas educativas dirigidas al público, enfocadas en los medios presentados por los artistas participantes. Estas sesiones se convirtieron en espacios valiosos de intercambio, aprendizaje y exploración, donde pudimos compartir tanto los procesos técnicos como la dimensión espiritual y ecológica de nuestras prácticas artísticas.
Desde la luz filtrada entre los árboles hasta los sonidos del viento y la vida silvestre, cada elemento se convirtió en inspiración viva. Fue un evento que celebró la intersección entre la expresión artística y la conciencia ecológica, y que reafirmó nuestro propósito en Artfull Forest: fomentar una relación más profunda, creativa y consciente con la naturaleza.

Our First Murmullo Verde: Art, Conservation and Connection in Ciales, PR

Last month, we had the honor of participating in Murmullo Verde, a unique event held in the heart of the forest in Ciales, Puerto Rico. This experience marked a new chapter for Artfull Forest within a growing community of artists and environmental stewards, united by the desire to create and conserve.
Organized with deep respect for both land and art, Murmullo Verde brought together four artists exploring different creative disciplines connected to nature: Aimee Siberón – printmaking, Gladys Serrano – botanical textiles, Elizabeth Edgerton – mineral pigment painting, Jorge Torres – cyanotype
Each of us offered a unique lens into the surrounding landscape, highlighting its beauty, fragility, and vitality.
One of the most memorable aspects of the event were the guided walks through the forest, where visitors encountered artworks integrated into the natural surroundings. These pieces didn’t just coexist with the landscape—they seemed to emerge from it, as creative whispers inviting contemplation, stillness, and connection.
Throughout the opening day, we also shared live creative processes, open conversations on art and sustainability, and an intimate atmosphere where the forest was not just a backdrop, but an active collaborator in every artistic offering.
Following a warm and welcoming opening, Murmullo Verde extended over an entire month, with active programming every weekend. During those four weekends, visitors enjoyed guided walks through the forest and educational talks focused on the artistic mediums presented by the participating artists. These sessions were valuable spaces for exchange, learning, and exploration—where we shared not only technical processes, but also the spiritual and ecological dimensions of our artistic practices.
From the filtered light between the trees to the sounds of the wind and wildlife, every element became living inspiration. It was an event that celebrated the intersection of artistic expression and ecological awareness, and one that reaffirmed our purpose at Artfull Forest: to foster a deeper, more creative and conscious relationship with nature.
We are deeply grateful to our fellow artists and to everyone who walked with us that day—and on the weekends that followed. This first Murmullo was only the beginning. May many more follow.
